Virgin was great when they went via DTAG... Glad I'm not with them any more with this throttling crap they employ...

Yep

Basically their routes get saturated and they go via AMS normally, which could be why the speeds were poor first time.

Hello,

We have added the ability to force SpeedTest over IPv4 network:
http://ipv4.proof.ovh.net

This is useful if you have both IPv4 and IPv6 and you wish to test only IPv4.

You can also test over IPv6 networks if you have IPv6:
http://ipv6.proof.ovh.net

Plus you can use:
http://proof.ovh.net

Octave

Hello,
We've added the possibility to force the test in IPv4:

http://ipv4.proof.ovh.net

Useful if you have IPv4 and IPv6,
and you want to do the
test excluding IPv6.

You can also test in IPv6:

http://ipv6.proof.ovh.net

If you have IPv6

whether one or the other:

http://proof.ovh.net

It's designed to test your speed at home, not speed between OVH servers. People using it for the latter will destroy the service for home users.

It's only hosted on 10Gbit/s. Not suitable for testing Gigabit links... Could only support 10 ppl doing it.

Hello,

We've added a new tool for measuring network quality between your ISP and your server; and your server to you. A speedtest tool.

To test speeds visit:
http://proof.ovh.net/speedtest

The service is hosted on a server located in RBX2 connected by 10Gbps port.

You can also simply test your speeds by downloading files, up to 10GB in size, from this server:
http://proof.ovh.net

We will also be adding tools to test the quality of your service provider to OVH for the use of VoIP technologies. Generally there are no problems but if there are then we can find them.

Regards,

Octave

Hello,
We've added a new tool for measuring
the speed of access your service provider has
to and from OVH. This
means a speedtest tool.

To test speed:
http://proof.ovh.net/speedtest/

The server is hosted in RBX2 on a server that
is connected with 10Gbps. So you can go there!

Also, you can very simply test
speed by downloading 10GB files
from this server:
http://proof.ovh.net/

We will also add tools to test
the speed of access of your service provider to OVH
in terms of VoIP. Generally there are
no problems, but maybe we will find
things.
