No, like all OVH prices it's £1 + VAT, so £1.20.

I remember when the whole Internet had just 100,000 nodes.
I must be getting old

It seems there is a backlog on servers parts, it seems they are missing some Hardware RAID cards. So waiting for over 5 days now for multiple MidGrade servers
Oh I see, well that's good then.
The setup fees are gone, pending their PCI DSS certification (if it hasn't already). That way they can store CC details and have better control over charges.
Nice offer indeed, perhaps OVH should use this time to reflect on the prices charged for setup fees
Instead of having one setup fee for all low/midrange servers, tier the fee to the monthly cost of the server.
I too, have ordered a Kimsufi, the £14.99 a month one, as a test server, but I probably would've got a vps elsewhere, if the setup fee was still £49.99

I am trying to figure out how to utilize 24GB of ram now .. lol
Replaced an old AMD with 16GB ( which was using 12gb~ish of ram for it's SQL ) with the EG bestof ...
what about the HG servers?, these are the only servers i really WANT to have ... anything on setup fee for them?? :\ 15% is not a good deal if the setup costs 3X from the monthly server price.

Mine's just been delivered . Think I'll wait for CentOS 6 before using it though.
Edit: i5-2400 Sandy Bridge CPU rather than the Nehalem. Very happy .

Ah good stuff
I'd also like to know if the setups have gone for good!
Setups are a killer tbh!

I have absolutely no idea what that means. Is the setup fee removal permanent or not? Or don't we know?
Awesome news either way. No reason not to upgrade my C-250G to one of the new ones. Although I do have a good CPU in the C-250G... Hmm, decisions decisions...

Have just ordered a Kimsufi 16G to make sure I don't miss out . Will be replacing a £34.99 SP Mini.
Doubtful. Probably just a celebratory period
Permanent setup fee removal?
Good news for now either way .
Excellent I have a few friends who are buying their free setup servers right now.

Hello,
That's it! We have surpassed the
100,000 dedicated servers hosted in our
data centers. It is a round number that is
interesting to remember when you are asked
"OVH, you know?" "Yeah yeah I was there
when they have exceeded 100,000 servers
2011 "... In short, we are happy
to host these servers for you.
How would we celebrate this?
We cut out the setup fee on
dedicated servers, VPS, and the PCC
phone? Go! Let us be fools again! we
live once! That's it. There is
more at OVH then setup fees.
How long?

In a few days we'll continue the OVH party by testing U.S.
and Canadian markets. We will offer them a few thousand
servers (5000) to see what US / CA customers needs are.
We will understand fully what OVH can offer and what is wrong.
In short, the OVH party is likely to continue and we will not pull any punches ..
Sincerely
Octave
PS. We stop the cost of installing ADSL / SDSL within 10 days. Time to
put the gamma version of the tenders.
