mind that this is Mega bytes per second, ie.e: 30.24Mbps and 25.12Mbps
Speeds like this and perfectly alright, and it may not get higher because of the other end or maybe even harddrive write speeds. Try this next time:

# wget ftp://cdimage.debian.org/debian-cd/c...i386-DVD-8.iso -O /dev/null

# wget ftp://ftp.ovh.net/test.bin -O /dev/null

Post the results, we'll see the differences

Also, regarding the connections to the US west coast: do you have some wget tests there alongside with traceroutes? It could be interesting to pass on to see if something can be done about it.

We've just starting to build our infrastructure in the US, with a first router in NY. So far, we rely on peering and transit links. So any feedback is good to try to fix the bottlenecks.

I decided to check it as one of my customers in Poland complained about the slow loading of one of my websites. I am pretty sure this is network related.
Could you provide traceroutes from him in Poland?

Hi OVH,

I have EG server with 1gpps port. When i was d/l something the line looked liked capped at 500mbps. I think record was 700mbps for a short while.
Anyway i have tried to see how the connection works and these are my results:

Few examples:

Most of them more or less works like my home broadband (except upload speed - but for US is about the same).
I decided to check it as one of my customers in Poland complained about the slow loading of one of my websites. I am pretty sure this is network related.
Any thoughts ?

Cheers,
