Then you need to create new partition on your second drive and make the partition's fs. The last thing is mount your partition as /home/hd2 and add the related config line to fstab.

PM me if all of these doesn't make sense to you. I'll give a hand.
Hey,

I really appreciate your time maybars and I really feel I need a hand with this please. I manage to do the basics stuff but I'm very lost. I would like to send you a private message but I believe you don't accept any? If you don't want me to bother you I could take it here instead.

Thanks once again Neil

I have the ability to have /boot and I'm wondering how much space should I give it?

Something like this?

When done I got this and it doesn't look right?

root@ns222896:~# df -h
Filesystem Size Used Avail Use% Mounted on
rootfs 1.8T 763M 1.7T 1% /
/dev/root 1.8T 763M 1.7T 1% /
/dev 12G 184K 12G 1% /dev
none 12G 0 12G 0% /dev/shm
none 12G 40K 12G 1% /var/run
none 12G 0 12G 0% /var/lock
none 12G 0 12G 0% /lib/init/rw
/dev/sda1 992M 29M 913M 4% /boot

And here is another one without adding the /boot, I'm very confused because I don't know what's right and wrong and how it should bee

root@ns222896:~# df -h
Filesystem Size Used Avail Use% Mounted on
rootfs 1.8T 892M 1.7T 1% /
/dev/root 1.8T 892M 1.7T 1% /
/dev 12G 180K 12G 1% /dev
none 12G 0 12G 0% /dev/shm
none 12G 40K 12G 1% /var/run
none 12G 0 12G 0% /var/lock
none 12G 0 12G 0% /lib/init/rw

Kind regards

Hi CAPE

The easiest way to start I think is to reinstall your server and choose custom reinstall after choosing the OS, if it is SoftRAID then you can choose the option to format the first disk only.

You could then format the second one afterwards.

Hey,

Please forgive me if this question been brought up before I did search the forum but without success.

I have EG 2011 BestOF and I want to use the hard drives as individual disks.

I have been struggling with this for a long time without figuring out how to do this, please tell me what steps I need to do to make this happen.

I would like to have the first disc on / and the second disc on /home/hd2 and it may look like below.

Or do you recommend me to have it in a different way? Maybe mount both discs in home? The main reason for this is because I want to share the server with friends and I would like to split my friends on both discs without affecting the speeds on the server to much, please let me know what do you think

Filesystem Size Used Avail Use% Mounted on
/dev/sda1 684G 188G 462G 29% /
none 2.0G 152K 2.0G 1% /dev
none 2.0G 0 2.0G 0% /dev/shm
none 2.0G 264K 2.0G 1% /var/run
none 2.0G 0 2.0G 0% /var/lock
none 2.0G 0 2.0G 0% /lib/init/rw
/dev/sdb1 688G 463G 221G 68% /home/hd2
Best regards
