IIS is much better for windows systems as it's integrated. I've never found Apache to work that well on Windows.

Ah gotcha, so you haven't set up a web server yet. Knowing that makes it much easier.

Install IIS if you will, I prefer apache personally, much more configurable.

Whatever you decide to go for, let us know and we will walk you through it.

Have a windows 2008 R2 S1 server

what i want to do is make the IP of that server http:// complient.

what would i need to install to make it so that it is viewable over the web.

so for example http://192.168.2.1/image.png if you know what i mean.

i am trying to allow images to be seen over the internet via ip only and not by website.

please advise
