Yes but what if they want to change how much extra they get next month. Then you have to remember to go and change all those orders.
It is already hard enough managing OS + IPs + professional, it takes 5 minutes to check each server you are going to cancel if the customer cancels, or if they make changes.

You can set an automatic order for extra traffic that will be charged with the renewal:
OVH Manager >> your server >> Services >> Order extra traffic
Apart from that, with the older prices, 2TB orders could be annoying, but with the newer prices, this limitation doesn't have that much impact anymore. In any case, we'll forward your complaints to our datacentre.

Agreed. While I've never had to buy bandwidth before I can see the annoyance for people who have a dozen or more servers to buy bandwidth for.
It is mainly because it is impractical to manage. If you want 82TB you have to buy 60 + 10 + 10 + 2TB. And then if you want a set amount per month, it can be very difficult to manage 4 things per server per month..
I partially agree, it's now much better price wise. However I don't think I should be forced to pay for xxTB when I only need xTB, for example. It's like being forced to buy £30 of petrol at the garage when you only want £20!

i don't care if they have increments of 2TB. 1 EUR won't hurt my wallet. 14 euros that was another thing. i will welcome this news just like i welcomed no set up fees. This makes it easier now for us not to miss the old unlimited servers.

But still for the price it's so much better than before, BW isn't cheap as we all know but OVH's prices are cut by a big amount.
So for £15 you could get 15TB as before you have to buy 2TB which was £30 if i remember correctly? I haven't really had to buy more BW so didn't look at the prices that much.
But that's 16TB not 15TB Why not let us buy in 1TB blocks? I can imagine the number of people putting off buying bandwidth because of previously the steep prices and now the lack of flexibility (even if it is much cheaper which I am happy about ).
I can understand people buying 1TB when they only need 500GB but not 2TB when they only need 1TB or less for example. I hope you see where I'm going with it It's like buying a car with all the extras when all you wanted was the GPS, but you're forced to buy everything. You wouldn't bother because you can do without so the provider loses out.

Remember you can purchase more than 1, so if you used 4 or 6TB. You just order 3x the 2TB. So in Andy's example of 15TB, you could purchase a 10TB and then 3x 2TB.

Not sure what you are saying there, but the price would certainly drop *enough*.
On the sort of margins OVH works with, and therefore the companies that sell them, even the difference between 2 and 10TB is enormous.

I'm guessing due to their low pricing, saving a couple of TB of the Basic Plan wouldn't really drop the price much. Most of is I'm sure Hardware and Power.
Agreed. Why buy 30TB if you only need 15TB for example. Or 90 if you only need 70, etc.
So the new pricing is awesome, but the granularity kindof sucks... Why not have a whole number extra BW thing, instead of 2 10 30 60 90?
