This one caught me out, thankfully I asked before I ordered and found out that the license isn't included.

If anyone is interested in cPanel we should create a post and link the staff to it - they only need 10 people wanting licenses and then cPanel would allow OVH to offer internal licenses on their servers for way cheaper!

Update:
Anyone that is looking for a good deal on external cPanel license I have found cPanelDirect offering externals for $36/£19ish a month. That's damn cheap.

Its like saying comes with a free car and then charge you extra for the key, it aint useable without paying more and therefore it should say so when going through the server buying process.

Don't forget to include things like nic-handle, or the server name, or the order number.

The cost for installing the CentOS distribution itself is free, you have to go to cpanel.net to see the costs for their licenses though.

cPanel 11 (on CentOS 5) is now available in BETA. We propose a new distribution which is based on the CentOS 5 and is pre-configured with cPanel. You can order it with a new server or re-install your operating system via the Manager. To use cPanel, you must have a licence which you can buy at:

http://www.cpanel.net/purchase/cpwhm_licenses.htm

You can also get a 15-day trial licence at:

https://www.cpanel.net/store/

Please use this thread if you have any questions or problems regarding this.
