Jalzoo, I can appreciate your concerns, however I wish to resell OVH servers as managed servers.
I do not wish to run off when I get bored as it will be conducted as a UK Limited Company.

I wish to use OVHs network because I have found it to have exceptional speeds across the UK, to have great european connectivity (done extensive testing in NL + DE) and because the system allows free automated reinstalls and IPv6! Also the uptime is so very near almost perfect.

I wish to provide my customers with a very reliable managed server and if I want to choose OVH to do so I think I should be allowed to!
As such I really support the reseller program and whilst it's a little unfortunate they said it would be 10 days then delayed it a year it's fair enough with all the scammers they are getting.

Also I think OVH should have a page for each official reseller that can be checked out to verify their status, just to put the public mind at rest and further using legitimate resellers.

Why are resellers automatically scammers?

There are many datacentres that allow reselling and give reseller discounts, and often resellers provide a much better service than the datacentre itself (and generally being small businesses a more personal service).

I resell from several different datacentres in the UK and USA and offer support that the datacentres would never dream of because I specialise in a specific market and can install and support software that the datacentres would never dream of doing.

I'm not saying that there aren't a lot of scammers out there beacause there clearly are, but at the same time there are a lot of reputable resellers for many datacentres, and specialising in a certain market saves the end customer a lot of time and money.

It annoys me alot, I can understand people from countrys that OVH do not provide for going for a reseller.. But why would anyone else?.. I think that unless there an official registerd business reseller.. then its a complete scam, The reseller will just close on you when the admin cannot be botherd to keep on reselling. I think that everyone that cannot get an OVH server should wait.. I assume OVH will soon provide for everyone eventually.. and will be well worth the wait for them in my eyes.. OVH = Hounest, Genuine, Reliable business with very decent priced servers.

So thanks OVH but i think reselling is a bad idea as its opening alot of doors for scammers.

Its very true andy as u say your server your responsibility.
And youve been able to resell servers ever since ovh was started.
You can order as many servers as you want youve just got use your brain.

i seriousley hope your wrong as most readers inthat forum are only ordering because they think resellers can sell to anyone most of the buyers from usa

I resell a server to a friend in USA and a friend in Sweden and I have done for nearly half a year now. You must remember when you resell servers that you are the owner and you are responsible for anything that happens on the server (e.g. legal wise). I only resold to these two friends because they needed a good deal and OVH could give them that. I make no profit from it except knowing I've done a good deed in helping my two friends get a server they can use for their business/personal sites.

I dont think they allow us uk people or other people to resell, Its just a shame its not out yet. But the problem would be is the reseller will have to do the ID check's on thier customers as well and provide it to ovh,

quite strange.i mean the setup fee is a 1 time fee.
then the following months there selling a kimi for 15 euro.
so if the customer has it for 6 months how the hell are they making a profit.

are we now allowed to resell dedicated servers now just i have seen a thread pop up on a forum i frequent http://www.webhostingtalk.com/showthread.php?t=710034 and if reselling allowed now would i be fine to sell to usa customers
