So far we only registered demand for OpenVZ slaves, but if that changes we
could add a Xen slave as well.

Felix
would like to have xen as the vm's that are running on xen are stabler then openvz

I noticed that "vzdump" isn't installed by default by the SolusVM installer...
Maybe that's the cause? You can simply install it with "yum install vzdump".

Someone correct me if I am wrong:

AFAIK, the backup feature does not work. You cannot set up a job to backup like you can with Proxmox, you will have to sort out your own backup solution.

Hello,

We are pleased to announce the availability of a new
virtualisation distribution, available in two variants:

SolusVM Master (OpenVZ)

and

SolusVM Slave (OpenVZ)

The variant "Master" contains a web panel to manage the
OpenVZ, Xen and Linux KVM virtualization hosts. On the host
"Master" you can launch OpenVZ virtual machines.

The variant "Slave" has no web interface, the hosts are
only manageable from the "Master" interface. First, we
offer the distribution with OpenVZ.

SolusVM comes without a license. You can apply for a Free
evaluation license for 15 days or order licenses on
Official site: http://www.solusvm.com/pricing.php

For more information on SolusVM and its operation:
http://wiki.solusvm.com/

This new distribution is based on CentOS 6.2 64bit and is
currently only available for reinstallation. Like any new
Distribution is currently in BETA, so please let us
know your comments here or on the forum:
http://forum.ovh.com/showthread.php?p=493166

Sincerely,
Felix
