Just a static IP (charged by the hour, if neccesary) would do well for this. Some competitors provide this for that purpose.
that would require quite some interoperability between different technologies and networks. We would recommend you to keep infrastructures within the technologies, not to add layers of complexity. basically, keeping it simple
So you can have different technologies with different features (IP failovers are for dedies, not available for VPS/vKS/pCI at the moment).
but in any case, I'll pass the feedback about such feature to our developers to consider as a request from our customers.

At the moment a pretty good thing about OVH is the ability to reroute IPs to different servers.
Is there any way that in the future it would be possible to reroute our failover IPs to public cloud instances? That way in times of failure we could have a public cloud instance that we could spin up until we got our server back and then just reroute back to the server once we had it fixed?
