Got one of the new 10euro kimis, the wait time was about 5 days, they had some problem while installing the OS, turned out good tho

That's what Oles said they'd do, yes, but only on Kimsufi's will this be relevant.

I know this would never happen, but as some current contracts are paying for Pro + Ripe, as a good will gesture, you could give us the added 2TB bandwidth.

It will show up on the others, OVH has to move down this path to protect their future.

You should also be aware that what ovh.com does with bandwidth seems to be a test and doesn't often apply to .uk or .ie.. Just because you see it at one place (hopefully) will not show up (again) elsewhere.

you realise OVH is one of the only providers to offer different amounts of bandwidth depending on the server?

just about every other provider is the same bandwidth on their $50 server as their $250 server.

SLA Best Effort
Le serveur est connecté en 100Mbps. La bande passante est de 100Mbps garantis jusqu'à 5To de trafic mensuel. Au delà de 5To de trafic mensuel, la bande passante est de 10Mbps garantis.
let me get this straight, 5tb traffic for ALL kimsufi range? Id understand if it was something like, 3tb for mKS2G, 5tb for KS2G/KSR4G, 10tb for KSR8G/KSR16G.

5tb traffic for mks2g is 10x greater than hdd capacity
5tb traffic for ks2g/ksr4g is 5x greater ....
5tb traffic for ksr8g/ksr16g is 2.5x greater ...

diff traffic quota for each model is the deal. If ovh is willing to limit ks traffic (french side), at least make it right.

is ovh shooting its own foot ?

Actually the current servers will change, it has already taken effect on .fr accounts.

100Mbps servers (KS, SP, older OVH servers) now have a total of 32 IN TOTAL per NIC (funny how OVH thought to fix the reseller abusing unlimited bandwidth per nic by making the limit now per server, and not realising they've allowed the same thing to happen with IP numbers.. lol)
EG/MG get 128 total
HG get 256
+3 failover per server etc

So you ordering those extra IPs, I expect that must be a EG/MG/Gbps server and the pool isn't full, or .uk hasn't been changed over yet (but will eventually).

mKS 2G looks great for file server.

If you replicate your data over 10 servers it gives you full gigabit, 50TB of transfer and great HA (duplicated hardware and drives) and all of this for £69.99

Would help if you updated us of when the change will start, not immediately I see - still see old offers.

Doubt it, you've never really been able to order their grandfathered servers.

Kimsufi 24G will still be for sale correct?

It kills any customers wanting very fast servers with less support, but adds in the inbetween server R-8G which I wouldve preferrred to my 16G due to the decrease in price but with still a pretty good cpu for running game servers on.

Would take too much effort to transfer though.

Well that basically kills the VPS market hosted on OVH, just as I was starting too

Hello,

2013 Kimsufi range consists of three bids. 2013 with bandwidth, ie 100Mbps limited to 5TB per month, we sign return servers with RAID in the Kimsufi.

As follows:
------
Kimsufi 2G does not change. an ATOM, 2GB RAM and a 1TB for 14.99e/mois.

Kimsufi R-2G is the same platform as Kimsufi 2G, that is the same ATOM 2GB of RAM, it has two 500GB disks. It is therefore possible to RAID OVH for 19.99e/mois

Kimsufi R-8G is a Intel i3 (2 cores / 4 threads) to 3.4GHz + with 8GB RAM and 2 1TB drives. The assembly 29.99e/mois

3 deals KS have IPv4 and January 1/64 IPv6. Optionally, you can take 3 IPv4 failover.
