Hi Mark,

You should be able to accomplish this by setting up a virtual NIC on the XenServer (I think you can do this via XenCenter), add a virtual NIC to each XenServer that you are running, with the VLAN ID that matches that of your virtual rack - I'm not sure on the specifics but this should be doable. You can have your VM's use this virtual NIC to communicate on the virtual rack.

The following guide is for VMware ESXi and virtual racks, but the principles of what is detailed in it should also apply to other hypervisors:

We have a vrack with firewall.

We use xenserver on all hour dedicated servers and managed to get the individual VMs working via vrack.

However I'd like to make it such that the vms will use the vrack without having to configure virtual lans in the host, i.e. it's all handled through xenserver, is that possible?
