My guess has always been loyal customers get selected. Since I've been here over 4 years that likely puts me in a good position. You have to remember how many customers OVH has though. If they were to give a gift to everyone they'd go bankrupt!

I think they also factor in the activity on the forum. I know I used to get stuff for being active on the forum. Now I don't. I still wear the OVH shirts with pride!

Still using the notepad though that was given around the launch of OVH cloud. I still have the credit card sized USB key somewhere too.

EDIT: I think the gifts are given to active members of the community that are continually promoting OVH services.

One thing I noticed is that you need to make sure you turn the switch to data only when you're not using it or the battery will slowly discharge as it keeps the charging circuit active. If you put your ear to it you can hear it whine slightly. Not a big issue but stops it going flat by accident if you don't know

What is it? It's basically an external battery pack for your mobile phone / USB devices. It will charge most phones from dead to full at least once and then perhaps a bit more. Make it perfect for long times away from a charger!

Not quite the tablet PC that some FR customers got but still a brilliant gift! I know it will be used quite a lot!
