Not that I have used this link, but it is from RSYNC themselves talking about using Duplicity with RSYNC.

Thanks for the replies, are there any good guides you can recommend to set it up?

Check out 'Duply (Duplicity)'

It supports rsync. As well as many other methods such as FTP, SSH, WebDAV, Amazon S3, Cloud files etc.

Maybe worth you checking it out.

It entirely depends on your own setup so you'll really need to write your own. Otherwise you'll have a script that is so general purpose that it'll be much more difficult to understand than writing your own; and won't work very well.

Hello There, I have two servers running Ubuntu 12.10. One is a back up server an the other is the main server where my website is hosted. I need a script that back's up the whole of the main server and mysql as it is a Wordpress blog to /home/user/backup on the back up server. It needs to use rsync an connect using ssh keys an also need's to be automatic every 30 min's using cron. Calling out to the linux peeps like Myatu , Thanks Comish.
