Looks good that the RAM has doubled. I am looking at having the VPS option (eventually) when we launch a new product.

Yes,

MG 128-R SSD should have 2x300 SSD - i have older MG 64 SSD and was forced to use RAID 0... :/

Yeah, it's a shame, I like OVH a lot and currently have 3 servers and several domains with them, and when performance is the key factor (like it was with http://fanart.tv ) then OVH are the better option, or when you need something really cheap you can't really beat the kimsufi range, but when cost per TB is more important they are much more expensive (Hetzner 4X £14/per TB vs SP 16G £27 per TB)

Yeah I did mean the SP Storage, and the hetzner deal seems better for that as you say.

Yep totally.

As I offer shared services I am now unable to provide customers with enough SSD storage space and have been forced to look into using RAID 0 or another provider. Both of which I'm not very happy about.

I'm just waiting for SSDs at 300GB or larger. Looks like this was a step in the wrong direction.
Love the speedy hardware raid and cache though.

Also +1 on some sort of gigabit connection for storage.

I now have a server in Central Europe. In my planning I had it all worked out, I would get 1TB of the cheaper NAS storage for my backups. I then find when going to order it that only the HA storage is available there.

I'll now have to get a SP 16G but with the 100 mbit link

The FS-4T makes no sense whatsover, they will surely pull it.

The SP 16G has the same storage but instead of 2 gig of RAM and a 1.2Ghz Celeron has an i5 and 16 gig of RAM.

The SP Storage is now better than the storage solution on price and specs by a long way. I don't know why anyone would even want to use it. That said, the storage one has lousy specs in the first place. I'd expect a storage solution to have at least gigabit otherwise it's a tad pointless for most applications, even backups.

So I agree with the above, gigiabit should be standard even if internet outgoing is still 100Mbps.

Prettyyyy pleaseee? Even just server with 1Gbit internal like the backup server (just reloaded and new specs)

Woot, well done!

Now, bring back the cheaper EG24G, or some cheap 1Gbit. Hell even with only 100Mbit ovh-internet SLA, just bring back a cheap 1Gbit download and internal

And yet again those poor backup server models have been left out and forgotten.

And now i see there is an installation fee for the basic HG servers...

I wish i had bought HG SSD yesterday

Yep I second that.
Time to completely scrap my calculation and start over

I feel that some of these amounts of RAM are too much for those poor weaker CPUs.

Hello,

Following feedback received on the forums, we have decided to (re)load the EG, MG and HG range by doubling the RAM on all servers.

EG thus passes to 64GB RAM (as before), starting at £109/month.
And the price of EG SAS passes to £134/month.

MG has 128GB RAM starting at £139/month and MG SAS passes to £169/month.

mHG 128GB RAM from £126/month and mHG 256GB to £209/month.
We are aligning the prices for all customers that have already placed orders.

HG has 256GB RAM starting at £249/month
HG SSD, Hybrid and SAS are powered by a double E5-2687W (!!) with 256GB RAM offered at £296/month.
The same server installation costs apply.

The customers signed up for 2013 Reloaded will be upgraded to 2013 (Re)loaded.

We have also noticed that are not familiar with all the new storage technologies such as FastPath and CacheCade.
Somebody forgot to do their marketing...

We will be offering benchmarks next week to show you how the 2013 (Re)loaded range "rips it up" term of disk performance, as demonstrates in this article:
http://www.storagereview.com/lsi_meg..._pro_20_review

Yes... yes.... that means between 3 and 20 times more I/O according to the application.

Kind regards,
