Yes, but if you have something that uses one core EG i better, so overall i think EGs have better cpu.

Anyway it was indeed problem with speed step - thanks.

Now load is coming down a bit, but i'll monitor.

I'll post a command in the thread you given that solves it.

Full speed:

http://forums.ovh.co.uk/showthread.php?t=6790

MG has 8 cores, EG has 6 cores.

Granted, that's cancelled out (they are equal overall under full load) by the higher clockrate in the EG.

Try using Ubuntu's parent, Debian.

I've personally had issues with Ubuntu that didn't happen under Debian.

Hi,

So i moved one website from the old MG 64G (cpu was E5-1650) to the new one - MG 128 (E5-2670)

Site now runs significantly slower - with a load 5-10 times bigger.

cat /cpu/proc shows:

model name : Intel(R) Xeon(R) CPU E5-2670 0 @ 2.60GHz
stepping : 7
microcode : 0x70d
cpu MHz : 1200.000

Does it mean cpu runs at 1.2GHz ?

How can i switch it to full speed then?
