840mbps internal isn't bad indeed
Huh? Your math is way off here.
84 MBps = 672 mbps
Not 840 mbps.

Yes, I know that they are going to ask me, but I basically have no choice: switching to GRA or waiting for another month (or maybe more) to get my server. I cannot wait much longer as I have specific time limits to put the server in production.
And the biggest problem is a lack of information. I got nothing except the payment confirmation from them.
My ping time, you say? About a week so far, but that may improve if they ever plug a server into the other end....

I'd say, all servers of all types most likely will all be delivered, and resume their 1H deployment times by 1st November 2014. :-).

Expect your mSP anytime in the next two weeks (if deployed @ GRA)
Expect your mSP anytime maybe Christmas if you leave it @ RBX

I do think that it will arrive within this week or next, but as many have now said; just have some fun doing something else till it arrives.

Apparently they are....
I think it's an old map, but it should give a basic idea of the connections...
Does anyone know if the GRA is routed via RBX? or have own routes?

Latency will not be high at all, users wont even notice the difference.
The differences between RBX and GRA are minimal.

With 100km distance between the two DC, you are not going to get a lot of difference ping-wise ...
https://maps.google.co.uk/maps?saddr...t=h&mra=ls&z=8
Also, they will not just change you onto GRA automatically. Email will be sent asking for you to confirm you would like this to happen. If you do not want this, they will honour the order onto RBX.

At least Oles replied to some of you. He did not reply to any of my messages. I understand that he cannot reply to everyone, but except an email with my payment confirmation I did not receive anything from OVH and it's been a loooooong time since I ordered my server.
I ordered Kimsufi 2G on 25th of August and for some reason it was cancelled, but it was okay as I wanted it just for testing so then I ordered mSP and I'm even more concerned with an opportunity of getting my server.

I don't know what else to expect from OVH.

I just read this on twitter:
To deliver all delayed mSP on RBX and SBG, we will probably contact the customer to propose them the same server in GRA.

I'll upload one and PM you as I haven't got around to hardening my installs yet and don't really want to advertise my IP publicly yet on a forum. Also if everyone tries it at once, you won't get a true speed

I have been doing a bit of testing on the server just now in GRA and used a known high speed London broadband tester website. All I can say is wow... The ping was so fast that it registered as 0ms, my Sky Fibre Pro on there registers as about 11ms. The OVH to internet was about 260mb/s, which I assume must be a bit higher than 200 because of some kind of compression.
I had been waiting for a server in RBX since the 30th July, but am very glad I swapped to GRA, network is first class and actually got my server.

Yup. I'm waiting on an mSP from GRA too, and payment was 18th. NICHandle on 18th too.
So how does that work, OVH? That folks can order on the 23rd, or the 19th and get them before others on the 11th or 18th?
This is going from bad to worse, and at the very least, my month paid for so wants to be starting from date of delivery now too and not date of order.
That and the fact it takes over a week to get enabled to even post on your forums - no wonder you can't deliver servers any quicker.

I re-ordered from GRA based on the information we got on the 19th. I've submitted a ticket to support to try and find out how much longer I'll be waiting...
Mine is gra and I ordered on the 11th. Oles mentioned mine was 38 in a queue when I asked yesterday and that it should be last night or this morning delivery

Note that GRA was being delivered quicker than other data centres.
I already have a nic handle. And oles told me yesterday I should have it last night or this morning as it was in the queue to do at around 38

I have ordered 2 mSP in GRA
one on 9th AUG
second on 21th august
surprisingly I received mSP which was ordered on 21th AUGUST. I do not understand why the earlier order is still in progress.

Oles @olesovhcom 1h
@andha86 #39 .. it should be this night or tomorrow morning. we have 120 mSP in GRA checking with the bench.
At least they are pushing them out

Not sure how correct this is but this was 5 hours ago from Oles:
BC21920237 2013-08-13 05:47:03 is on the #78 for mSP in the GRA. it should be okey for today.
...unless they get all the orders completed today as they said they would. 1 hour would then be correct.

This can't be realistic, it means, make a new order and cancel pending order and you'll get your server in 1 hour. This can't be true.

they do have until the end of today before they fail their delivery. Lets at least give them that chance
if that is the case, then they really need to work on there math skills, as it was a serious under estimation they gave saying the back log will be cleared.
I know theres always unforeseen circumstances when trying to give estimations, but being 10 days being over two weeks behind schedule isnt an unforeseen circumstance, so like i said previously, unless theres very few gra orders over the past 10 days then i cannot see them being able to clear the back log for at least another week or 2, which means they got the estimations completely wrong.
I hope i am wrong and i end up eating my words and praising oles for such a good estimation.

SP in GRA: The backlog will be cleared by the end of the week. All new orders will be delivered in GRA from next week in 1h.

GRA: 2013-08-09 01:18:54 is apparently the order they were roughly upto yesterday @ 2:20 according to :
http://forum.ovh.com/showpost.php?p=561492&postcount=4
so we cannot be far off getting ours but they are still quite a bit behind.
If they have under estimated. Its a severe under estimation and they really need to get a better handle on there order system.

I'm hoping they didn't under estimate but I'm not holding my breath for my order to be delivered before end of tomorrow

Oles has stated on 19th that backlogs for mSP will be cleared for RBX/SPG by 10-14 days and that orders placed in GRA DC will be ready within the hour from next week

I made the mistake of cancelling my KS16G raid for a mSP, thinking I would get it a lot quicker ... End result, I'm waiting even more !
And the mSP would be as suitable for the UK as the KS16G. Being in northern france and all, no issue in regards to latency etc to the UK.
rickyday
24-08-2013, 20:06
I wouldn't bother, the wait for a mSP is even longer than the 16G server.
Of course if you are prepared to wait another 2 or possibly 3 weeks then go for it!
I guarantee you will get a 16G before a mSP. (famous last words lol)

I am thinking of cancelling my KS 16G order and going for a mSP, I am from the UK, would the server that accepts orders next week (according to the forum post) be suitable for a server for the UK (latency etc)?
