Interesting article lets hope more details are released regarding this hack and how it was achieved to protect others.

Though not directly related to OVH, this article gives a little insight about what happens when a domain name gets hijacked, and some measures you can take yourself:

And if you check on your domain in the OVH control panel, in the summary you should see "Locked" in the protection field, which can be verified by performign a WhoIs lookup:
