OVH's installer doesn't work properly to soak up the remaining space, you should expand it yourself (pretty easy), debootstrap (not too hard), or use an installation template which did work for me to use up all the space.

Had this issue on my new HG BestOf.

I ended up debootstrapping.

So box came installed with raid1..changed it to raid0 reinstalled operating system...

as you can see fdisk -l shows this:

fdisk -l

Disk /dev/sda: 1198.0 GB, 1197998080000 bytes
255 heads, 63 sectors/track, 145648 cylinders, total 2339840000 sectors
Units = sectors of 1 * 512 = 512 bytes
Sector size (logical/physical): 512 bytes / 512 bytes
I/O size (minimum/optimal): 512 bytes / 512 bytes
Disk identifier: 0x000236a5

Device Boot Start End Blocks Id System
/dev/sda1 * 4096 20973567 10484736 83 Linux
/dev/sda2 20973568 23068671 1047552 82 Linux swap / Solaris
/dev/sda3 23068672 1228797951 602864640 83 Linux

it shows 1198.0 GB however disk free only gives..

df -h
Filesystem Size Used Avail Use% Mounted on
rootfs 9.8G 432M 8.8G 5% /
/dev/root 9.8G 432M 8.8G 5% /

tmpfs 26G 0 26G 0% /dev/shm
/dev/sda3 566G 70M 537G 1% /home
