When creating the containing the default network settings just add the up address into the box and voila no virtual mac required

I was wondering if anyone could shed any light on how i add an ip for the openvz ububtu/debain containers do i need a virtual mac for those or if not where do i add the failover ip when setting it up for it to be accessible to the outside world ?
