Thanks, tried that and it didn't work so I'm convinced the server had problems.

I've now downgraded to 'Personal' hosting. DOES ANYONE KNOW THE IP ADDRESS FOR PERSONAL HOSTING?

Basically, you connect to SFTP the same way you connect to SSH (except, obviously with a FTP/Client or scp commands).

It's FTPS (or SFTP) via FileZilla that I want to use not putty.

I've sent you an email via control manager.

Our website on shared hosting has now been down for a few days and just redirects to webmail.ovh.net. Emails works.

Are there any DNS faults?

Hello

The SSH on Web Hosting works fine see http://help.ovh.co.uk/SshMutualise or just SSH in with your username and password.

For the operations you would need to send us an email as most likely there is an operation blocking the requests.

I have been using the cheapest shared hosting plan for several years now.

A few days ago, I upgraded to the £4.99 plan as that is supposed to have SFTP (the cheapest plan does not have SFTP which is risky).

However, the following things don't work:

1) SFTP doesn't work tried it for ages with sftp:// ftps:// sftp. ftps. etc. Still nothing works. Only the standard ftp.domain. which is not secure.

2) Deleting MySQL databases does not work. Pressed delete database told me to come back as the system was already in an operation. Still in an operation hours later. So cannot delete database.

3) Tried to delete a module (wordpress) but won't let me delete it as it's in an 'operation'. But it can't be in an operation!

4) Multi-domains don't work!

5) When I install wordpress is just goes to webmail.ovh.net and then you have to change the IP to a non-British ip. I want British IP!

I have been very patient with OVH but this takes the biscuit!

Waiting to buy cheap kimsurfi so I can get Cpanel, or even Plesk!
