If its a point in time full copy, then as Myatu says.. FTP, SCP, SFTP, SSH, prob 100 more others. If you need something that syncs, then I hear RSYNC works or if you windows/dos based, anyone remember RoboCopy? That actually did rock!

No can do on sshfs either, unless FUSE is enabled as well But otherwise, tar-ball, rsync / scp, and good 'ol FTP would do the trick. Personally I like Duplicity for creating backups.
