So whats going on?
Invision power board, i do websites with forums, and always rate IPB. i may not agree with there pricing structure, but there are always ways around things like that . Level of integration and presentation is straight forward. Its good also for custom php mysql scripts.

If the forum software does the job and is secure who cares :P

It will never be number one because of the license/support costs, I expect the top forum software is FREE, which doesn't mean it is better.
Just out of interest what is the top forum software?
Free I presume?
I much prefer VBulletin to Invision Power Board

Yeah I am sure they have enough money to support a software company and buy something decent for thier customers.

Wow, did someone get bored during that downtime or what? It reminds me of this:

For a company that manages thousands of servers this forum sure does run slow.

Will SOS offer Windows Server versions...? ATM only Hyper-V is listed...

It got a "bit stupid" MONTHS ago. Now its just an insult and a kick in the balls to all OVH customers.
vBulletin have confirmed it was a mobile app test platform that was the cause of the breech. Defcon are an über paranoid bunch by nature

The site has been live since this time yesterday. Who knows when it'll be available in English...
€50+VAT setup fees. I bet nobody saw that coming! They're not even waived if you sign up for a whole year.
Sold out within a few hours.
According to benchmarks that C2750 is no faster than the i5-2300 in my KS-16G.
I'm pretty disappointed with OVH. These servers cost about the same as my KS-16 but have twice the RAM and bandwidth. They come with much better support, additional IPs, etc, all of which my KS-16G came with when I originally signed up for it. Now OVH want me to pay a €50 setup fee for the privilege of getting back all the things they've taken away from me in the last few months? lol...

Vbulletin the forum software company had a massive 0 day exploit, and OVH decided it was best to take the forum offline (much like the whmcs exploits)....they also made use of the downtime to upgrade to the latest and presumably more secure version of Vbulletin.
Do agree it is up and down intermittently.
According to Oles, I think the word is "next week" for the offers, but no doubt that will not include us UK people, as we are not that important.

So the forum has been down for 2 days and is now incredibly flaky! Getting interrmittent access to the forum. The SOS page has just an ovh landing page now instead of the countdown...
Any news on whats going down?
