Can I ask of some assistance?

lmao, Neddy!

Well I must say it's rather convenient that they get worse, yet more expensive. Sounds like that business model is a move in the right direction.

marks,

Well, support for something you can't buy is not really an issue is it ?

KS servers are not available for UK-based customers yet. We'll have to see how it'll be made available fro the UK. In any case, they come with less support, only forum based and not much SLA either. So it's not exactly the same type of servers, they come with different guarantees.

Kimsufi for UK is still a WIP, hopefully not long to wait, but then I just looked out my window and did see a pig fly by

Yah they are all much more expensive than the original KS range. But it's closer to what I need.

a 10Gb would sit rather nicely, but since they dont do that, 16Gb is what I'd be after.

the PS-30 & PS-29 are the only ones that actually have a respectable cpu. PS-28 maybe, but it's pushing it.

We shall see what becomes of this I guess.

I disagree with this at least in part.

Yes - it is sometimes better to have more RAM, but not always, why pay for something you are not going to use?

RAM, or at least the kind of stuff we want in our servers is far from cheap.

I have several servers with 4 or 8 GB RAM, and these quite often sit and do their job using 1 or 2 GB. For my purposes 4 GB is fine, 8 GB is a luxury in many cases.

The other part here of course is the gaping hole has support differences as well. The OP sounds like he would like a 8 or 16 GB machine in the KS/PS range. I'd like a 8 GB machine in the SYS/OVH range...

Also VPS vs Dedicated... Unless you are running the container yourself, I'll stick with a real Dedicated Server...

@OP:

I think this range is going to be very fluid, they are also trying to avoid another fire-sale. With this in mind, don't expect everything to be available soon.

Also, looking at the PS-3 et-al, was this not the original KS2G..? (But with a much higher price)

The way I perceive it to be, is this:

You have a 2GB server for $10 or something, correct?
Then you have a 32GB server for about $50 or something, yah?

Is there anything in between?

2GB is way too low for my purposes, and 32GB is way overkill for what I want to do.
I don't want to be paying $50/pm + a ridiculous joining fee for a server that is completely overkill that I don't need.

Have I got this correct, or is there something in between?
I.E the KS 16GB was perfect. Size and price wise.

Any help is appreciated, thanks guys.

Just realised they have a kimsufi site which took me a while to find.
On there it has quite a range of servers.
http://www.kimsufi.com/fr/

My question now, why are the last 2 servers not orderable?
The last option (PS-30) with the [i7-3770S] cpu looks exactly what I'm after. Would love to get my hands on it. Why are there servers STILL un-orderable? *sigh*...
