Hi

You can find the new prices for Windows here, http://www.soyoustart.co.uk/2014-win...es-pricing.xml - the OVH UK Website has not been updated just yet but the French website has, but the price for SoYouStart are the same. Of course if you have your own licence then you are not affected by the price increase, we still accept SPLA Licences.

... There is a notice on this in FRENCH of course, with a link (The Link does not work of course,) After going to Google I found this page:
http://www.ovh.com/fr/dedie/tarifica...ndows-2014.xml

This tells me many things...

1. OVH are taking the Michael. I have been paying £15 for something the French can have for €15.
2. OVH are taking the Michael. The price is going up by more than 33%.
3. OVH are taking the Michael. I would be a LITTLE better off with a NEW server from OVH, so I should add to turn-over
4. OVH are taking the Michael. I would be MUCH better off with a NEW server from Leaseweb, who charge €9.76 for Windows

So tell me, why are OVH trying to drive me away, by taking the Michael so much?

OK, so I got a collection of emails last night, (one for each windows server I have,) all along the lines of:

Dear Customer,

Customer ID: XXX-ovh

IP(s) affected: nsXXX.ovh.net

Following the modification of the publisher's marketing policy, the Windows licences prices will be changing as of March 1st 2014.

This change concerns the addition of features developed by the publisher, for each version available.

These price changes will be applied within 30 days of this email being sent.

Thank you for your understanding.

Kind regards,

OVH Ltd
... Can someone from OVH please tell me the other things which really should have been in the email..?

1. How much is this going to cost me?
2. Does this cover 2008 and/or 2012?
3. Many of my servers are on 2008R2 Web Edition, exactly what "additional features" do I get on this restricted software?

As I currently pay £15+VAT for W2008R2Web here at OVH, and only €9.76 from LeaseWeb, why must OVH put the price up, when others are not?
