Good morning,
Here is the status of delivery 2008-09-14 0100.

When there is a delay, should read:
"The oldest order paid and unrealized a XX hours late"

Servers to discover and games:
-- Kimsufi L OK -> 1 hour
-- Kimsufi XL OK -> 1 hour
-- Kimsufi 2XL OK -> 1 hour
-- Kimsufi 3XL OK -> 1 hour
-- Kimsufi 4XL 24H delay

Servers business, professional and critical:
-- MiniSP OK -> 1 hour
-- SP bestof OK -> 1 hour
-- SP Max fr, es OK -> 1 hour
-- SP Max OK -> 1 hour
-- SP Max uk, pl OK -> 1 hour

-- EG Bestof OK -> 1 hour
-- EG Max OK -> 1 hour
-- EG Large OK -> 1 hour

-- MG Bestof 6 days
-- MG Max 5 days
-- MG Large 5 days

-- MiniHG OK -> 1 hour
-- HG Bestof OK -> 1 hour
-- HG BiTurbo OK -> 1 hour
-- Large HG OK -> 1 hour

Everything goes well. We sold a little more dedicated servers in 2000
2 weeks. Deliveries are to 1 hour. As expected, the server kimsufi
4xl (which becomes a new best-seller of Ovh) is out of stock. Normally
from Wednesday maximum, while the delay will be caught. Deliveries of
retardation range MG began this week. We had unforeseen
but everything is fixed now. We still have a small delay that will
caught up in a few days. Generally speaking, our objective to deliver
1h customers is reached.

By cons, we had some servers delivered to hackers with nic handle
very old (3 years) and a server comes with a manually payment accepted (by
me). In short, you can not distinguish a customer of a hackeur. That's lottery
and security of our network is becoming the lottery (servers hackers have
been closed because they scannaient the network, this is how they were found).
We decided to change the settings for the validation of payments by the
ext. Now, for a new server, you must validate the
code sent by mail. Only the 1st time. We will deliver more new
servers without validation by mail. This is the only way to deliver servers
without jeopardising the security of the network. This validation is at our expense and
is free. Suffice it to the correct address, wait 24H/48H the letter, then
validate code in the letter: automatically pending order will be validated
and you get the server to 1 hour after validation. Customers who validated
literally, no longer limit the number of servers per month. They can order
40 servers and receive 1 hour. Still no commitment.

Some customers may have applications for validation by the letter of it in the
renewal of the server. Generally it validates these payments by hand, and therefore with
lag. Once the customer validates the letter, everything is automatically in the future.

All these measures are binding on everyone. But with this
new generation of hackers and quantity of stolen credit cards, PC
hackés, we can no longer distinguish an honest score a hackeur. Initially these
measures may seem excessive, see us to lose a certain number
business where the customer s'énerve or does not accept such treatment.
At our level, we lost 150'000E to 2 months. The choice between "accept all
customers without any verification and lose 70'000E per month in unpaid "
or "lose some customers and no longer have outstanding" is quick.

Let us return to our sheep: 1 datacentre Roubaix (which was started in August 2006) will be
2 full days! With 1 full-Roubaix, we expected to have 40,000 servers leased.
We still have a few days of work to exceed the figure. Roubaix is our 1
2nd datacentre meets. The 1st lies in Paris 19. It was demarré in 2004 and meets
also in 2years. Is this only 2 years time, we will still be 3 times more sales
that in the datacentre precedent and sell this time 100,000 servers 2years? The
datacentre has been scheduled for ... wait and see ... In any case Ovh will be much more
aggressive on the market in very little ...

The routing in Roubaix 2 will be started Monday with a new Cisco router VSS 1440
http://www.cisco.com/en/US/prod/coll...d806fa5d0.html
which will manage approximately 40,000 servers. It ping already in the lab 213.251.130.6. Monday
on the move physically. We connect transit 10G Teleglobe directly
on the chassis (we move on to own a wavelength between transit
Paris Roubaix on Infinera). Thus, the backbone is very short, direct and
10Gbps. The packet server arrives on the chassis and directly to the Internet
For intermediate router, no port 10Gbps intermediaries, no routers
redundancy in case. The router is already double and self failure itself.
We will be able to deliver as many servers that customers want while
ensuring the flow 1Gbps (and 2Gbps to burst) per customer because everything goes
on a single router that has all the functions necessary redundancy.

A 2 Roubaix we built to begin 4 rooms hosting servers 40000
in total. In short, everything is ready. Starting in the week. In total 120 jobs will be
created with full-Roubaix 2. Indeed, we assure the management of our datacentres in
and our own technicians are on duty 24 hours on 24.

Yours
Octave

However, we had some servers delivered to hackers with a very old nic handle (3 years) and a server deployed with a payment manually accepted (by me). To sum up, we can not tell the difference between a customer and a hacker. It's a lottery and the security of our network is becoming the lottery (servers of hackers have been closed because they were scanning the network, this is how we found them). At our level, we lost 150'000 euros in 2 months. The choice between "accept all customers without any verification and lose 70'000 euros per month in non-payment" or "lose some customers and no longer have non-payments" is easy.

Let 's get back to the subject: Roubaix datacentre 1 (which was started in August 2006) will be full in 2 days! With Roubaix 1 full, we expect to have 40,000 servers leased. In any case Ovh will be much more agressive on the market shortly ...
