Hello,
Figured I would post this as I have not seen this anywhere else.
I'm not 100% sure if this is safe so feel free to comment.
This is the method I have been using to get a SoYouStart servers to work with 2 separate drives in Windows instead of RAID 1 or 0.
Boot server into RescuePro
Follow Steps here to remove RAID 1: http://help.ovh.co.uk/HardRaidLsi
Don't do the 'Creating RAID 0' Steps
Boot back to Windows.
Reboot again
Open a CMD prompt
Type: diskpart
Type: select disk 1
Type: clean
You can now go to disk manager and bring the disk online as a separate disk.
I'm not a RAID expert so I'm not unsure of this has a downside due to the controller. However, I have done it on 10 servers with no problems.
