Hubic Bug

As promised...

I Posted in the French section (in English), and this was answered after 5 days. The English version was still not replied to after 17 days....

So I PM'd two of the hubiC team, and accused them of xenophobia. (Specifically for answering the same question in the French section, while continuing to ignore the question in the English section.) They then responded to almost all of the outstanding questions on the English side...!

It is a shame I had to send them a list of the un-answered posts, and resort to name-calling to get something done...

~Trap

(Hmmm, wonder it that would work here... Nope, seen it done, makes no difference,,!)

Sad to say Neil, but all of the posts there are ignored.

Worse than that, I have reported more spam messages in the "international" section than there have been replies from staff.

There have been more French-Language posts in the non-French section than there have been staff replies.

All the while, the French section periodically get responses from staff, but the international section goes almost completely ignored.

Thanks for the tip about the mobile-bug reports. The bug however is with the desktop version, so that does not really help. I feel sure it would also go un-heard.

Shame, so close to being a great product.

Further to this...

The Bug Report is still un-answered. Requests in the French section seem to get answered quite quickly, but the English section is almost ignored.

Neil, is there a button on your desktop, which is marked "slap hubiC team into action"...? If so, can you give it some "escape key abuse" *.

~Trap

* Escape Key Abuse: When a computer is not responding, one of the things you can try is hitting the escape key, very hard, about a dozen times in quick succession. This is rarely effective in solving the problem, but does it help reduce the stress...

Hi Neil,

Yet-another-logon created.

I do wonder however if there is any action at all on the English-speaking side, seems like lots of questions, and very little answers...

On the iOS and Android Apps you can report bugs directly in the Apps, if not you could join the forum.

Hi Neil,

I could do without yet-another-login, so I would prefer to do this via the App. I am using the Windows version on Server 2008 R2 Web, and here on my Win7Pro machines. I cannot see where to report via the app. Can you point me in the right direction?

Hi

Sounds like a bug, have you reported this via a Hubic App or via the Hubic forum https://forums.hubic.com/

I think I have found a bug in the Hubic Software.

I have a server with the software installed, and a folder which Hubic is mirroring to the 10TB of space I have,

The folder contains thousands of files which arrive, are used for a while and then are deleted. This part is working fine.

There are also a few files which are logs of this activity, and these are of course ever-changing.

Despite the fact I have set Hubic's "sync gap" to 120 minutes, the log files seem to be sync'd every time they change.

Is this a "feature" or a "bug"?

With the constant uploads of the same 50MB logs, I don't think it will be long before I hit some bandwidth problems... So for now I have limited Hubic to 50KB/s to try and prevent this.

Any help / bug fixes appreciated.
