The Superhub clears NAT mappings for any connections that have been idle for longer than a minute so that they effectively drop.

You'll notice anything you type won't show up and after so long the connection resets.

Yes, it's ****ing stupid. Only real workaround is to type something like "watch date" into the shell to ensure there's activity on the connection and keep it alive.

Almost all home routers are set by default to ignore incoming pings from the Internet. It makes scanning for targets to exploit a little harder.

If you want to disable it - and I suggest you don't - it's under the firewall settings on your superhub.

its prolly the config in your router not allowing pings I think its setup that way by default on the VM routers

Are you experiencing this issue at the moment? My server had been fine up til a week or so ago... I could hit max speed on 1 thread.
Not currently, but it reminded me.

Yes, still getting this, here is the speed downloading 1 thread:

And 2 threads, as you can see the ~3MB/s is split between the 2 files.

Since the fix I was seeing 15MB/s+ per thread. (it maxed my connection).

Neil if you need IP's please msg me.

I was worried when I saw this thread.

I've just tested a HOST-32 in GRA, and an elderly KS-16G in RBX4.

Both max out our office business VM at 50Mbps.
At home, the HOST-32 is giving in excess of 100Mbps, and the KS-16G is maxing out its own connection at ~90Mbps.

I'm also getting similar speeds on both VM connections from proof.ovh.net

So thankfully there doesn't seem to be a repeat of the old VirginMedia routing issues.

I am on Virgin Media (not Business) and I am constantly pushing 12Mbps (which is maximum I can on my connection) to my server in GRA.

I agree. We too are on virgin business and our connect has been slow recently as well again. Anything going on ovh?

I'm seeing ~3MB/s from my OVH mSP server in the last week or so.

I know there have been problems in the past, but I thought they were resolved.

Any info on this?

Cheers
