I think captcha is not the solution to avoid SPAM posts.

The funny thing is that if this became common, it would be useless against spammers. There's nothing here to confuse an OCR program, and a free computer algebra system like yacas would solve these instantly.
Incredible

Could you do something about the increasing number of SPAM threads and posts...
Recently, there have been numerous threads such as “What is your most embarrassing death in Bridges” or “What would you do if chiss shutdown Mineplex.” The amount of these threads is currently growing, and staff do nothing to stop these threads getting hot and drowning out the other threads such as this one that have a use.
As many of you know, the more mature community wants to actually have a serious or casual discussion about a topic, not a thread that serves no purpose but to fill in slots in the “Hot Threads” box. In fact, the reason it is getting worse is because newer members decide that they want attention, so they create a spam thread. Sadly, the large portion of the community does not frown upon this, but rather supports it. The minority of our community consists of mature people such as myself who wish to have proper discussions that are not drowned out.
people’s minds, then that is 10 less comments on a spam thread.
Although this is entirely based off of community action like my last thread, the staff are showing no sign of resistance against these threads and the number only seems to be increasing. My purpose of this thread is to convince you to not make or reply to threads such as this, and discourage people from doing so as well. Word spreads like wildfire on the internet, but to get word out, YOU must act.

The downside to my idea..... is...... yes, too many control panels..
The most effective way would've been to use their backend systems as their hook to the forums..... So you need a NIC to be able to log in... Of course, creating a NIC is free, but I guarantee that system would've helped....

well i have a really decent suggestion, we can reduce spam by creating a system which would not allow new users to post without admin approval this might help reduce spam.

Suggestion, make an admin Approval on newly Registered users Thread, which will prevent them to create useless threads as admins will check if there topic is rightfully correct to be posted or no.

And for now we could just change the verification and ask them a tricky question so that only humans can get through and not those bots!
Maybe we could dedicate a thread to human verification questions? I would imagine we could think of a few funny OVH ones
Daniel I very nearly tried out the spam button on your post about using the spam button. However I have just learnt something new about myself! it appears I have grown up a little!
P.s found another spammer tonight! Pain!$

I'd suggest OVH somehow overhaul their system, in that, when someone orders, use their OVH credentials automatically for forum visits .... but this would not work, because of the amount of control panels and forums......
Integration would be easy enough to do.

You can use the report post function if you find any, the mods will be notified then

We have some more spammers in this morning.
Nothing worse than checking the forum and thinking there are lots of new topics to read only to find its some spam bot.
I guess I will just have to go to work instead.

What I meant to say was...can you not put a method in place so that SPAM users cannot sign up and post in threads/create new ones.

Thanks Neil,
Can you also remove either the pro terrorism posts or just remove the website name / ip etc.
I know you have covered off that those requests need to be made somewhere else but if you could remove the details too then that will stop other people from seeing it and from it being listed on google.
