OK Thanks for clearing that up. So my only question is it possible to remove the the VAT fees before purchasing the server? When you are a checkout, VAT fees are included. How do i get those removed or do i need to make full purchase with VAT fees first then request to get them removed?

If you are a non EU resident it is possible to have VAT removed from your account you do not require a TAX ID. However if you have created a company account you will be required to provide company registration documents.

24 hours ago got an e-mail stating that "this is being done". The same copy/paste reply they provided months ago. Good thing they don't bank on their customer service to get customers, it plain old is /dev/null !

To OVH: Still waiting for my credits to be applied to my account. Isn't it almost like stealing if they won't credit back illegally acquired VAT charges to a non-EU resident/company? Should be some type of a legal leg to stand on.

I agree with you definitely. It took 60+ days for them to remove me from VAT. Then its taking over 45+ after that for them to provide credit on VAT charges. Isn't it illegal for them to hold onto VAT that is not legitimate? It would be like in the US charging sales tax but then never sending it to the government, are they just pocketing the VAT charges which are not valid?

My order, in its status page, shows an "Expiration date" at 21-09-2014. Being today the 19, I m a little worried about.

I sent a photo of passport and telephone bill at validation@ovh.net, as said to me on the order page, on date 07-09-2014 (same day of the order)

I am having a validated and Tax exempt account with SYS (ka102563-sys).
I have submitted the same documents that were sent to SYS for validation . As i was told that mentioning the validated SYS id will speed up things , i did mention the SYS id in the emails sent with regards to both OVH and Kimsufi validation.
Now i have a kimsufi and OVH account that aren't validated and made tax exempt yet .

Hello,

Is your account awaiting validation? Here is all the information you will need:

1. Please ensure you have sent the following documents to validation@ovh.net

Individual (personal) accounts
  • Valid proof of ID
  • Valid proof of address


Company/Organisation accounts
  • Valid proof of ID
  • Valid proof of address
  • Company registration document


Please note all information MUST match what you have put onto your account


2. Once you have emailed your documents to validation@ovh.net, you will receive a confirmation mail. We will validate your account within an average of 72 hours. All validations are done in a queue based system, so this is not an exact time frame.

3. If you think the validation is taking longer than it should, or you're not entirely sure what documents to provide, please post in this thread. We will check it on a daily basis.
