IP Failover same as Gateway

Yes.

If your server IP is 1.2.3.4 then your VMs should use gateway 1.2.3.254 and subnet mask 255.255.255.255.

You have to use gateway of server not xxx.xxx.xxx.254

Hi ,

I ordered an IP Block of 4 , and I received IP Range as xxx.xxx.xxx.252/30

My usable IPs will be :

xxx.xxx.xxx.252
xxx.xxx.xxx.253
xxx.xxx.xxx.254 (Same as gateway!)
xxx.xxx.xxx.255

I will be using them for Virtualization .

is it ok to use xxx.xxx.xxx.254 (Same as gateway!) as VPS IP , where VPS's IP and Gateway are the same.

Can anyone help me with this issue, please?
