Most OVH motherboards have two nics, but only one is connected.

To add your IP to your OS you need to follow the following guide: http://help.ovh.co.uk/IpAlias OVH have no access to your OS so can't automatically configure the NIC.

Have you configured the IP on the server?

Instructions are here: http://help.ovh.co.uk/IpAlias

And no, you won't be able to use the second NIC on an SYS server.

Hi all.

I have 2 minor questions regarding a new server that some of the users might be able to answer.

1. I recently added an ip address (178.32.61.113) but in contrast to my expectations it allocated as a fall-over ip. And the address is not reachable by any means. Am i missing something there or does it suffer from bad routing?

2. The server has 2 nic's but only eth0 seems to be hooked up. Is it to be expected that eth1 will not be available to me or is possible to open a ticket to have it wired?

Best Regards
