I now realize it was indeed a silly question.

Thank you very much, Dani.

I've figured it out and problem has been solved.

Hi

The OS template will install the ESXi to the first SSD, the other 2 remaining SSD will be left alone.

After installation, you can login to ESXi and format the remaining 2 SSD independently as a datastore.

Hello Dani,

Thank you for your answer!

I've selected VMware ESXi 5.0 and checked Custom Installation.
Then I get to this point, where the installer "sees" only 1x 120GB:

Shouldn't I be able to see all 3 drives?

Sorry if it's a silly question.

Thanks again.

Hi

By default the server installer will set the disk into RAID 5, in your case you will re-install the server and set the RAID 0.
This is done by the re-installation of the server, under custom configuration.
You can also modify the swap as well, however a 512MB swap should be sufficient.

Hello,

I just got my first dedi: E3-SSD3-3

I'm a newbie and I have a couple of questions:

I would like to run ESXi on it and create several Windows 2008 VMs.

I can't seem to be able to figure out how to use the space from all 3 SSDs. At the moment I only see 1x 120GB instead of 3x. I think I have to switch from RAID1 to RAID0, right? (I don't care about potential data loss). Is there any way to do this without kvm?

Also, I don't know how large the swap should be. Default size is 512MB. Should I leave it like that?

Please help me!
Your answers will be much appreciated!

Thanks in advance!
