CPU Models

When you get "dedicated 1 core" it matters to find out the computing power of that core and it depends on how many cores does CPU hold.

1 core of 4 core cpu is 25% of cpu power, 1 core of 16 core cpu is = 6.25% of cpu power. you see why I am asking?

When they offer dedicated 1 core, that translates to nothing at all except that you get to use core. but has no computing power information at all.

When you "dedicate" to me one core, and I pay you 15$-$50 monthly for it I want to know the computing power of the core.

Due to this I would logically guess that the 6386 SE would be single processor in a node whilst 4386 would be dual processor.

I'm not quite sure why it really matters though considering you're being assigned Dedicated resources and not shared resources on that particular plan.

Out if interest, why does it matter the exact cpu? I am sure even OVH can't tell you as they use lots of different cpus in their hosting (and it'll be balanced across lots of servers).

If you want a specific cpu then get a dedicated server (although I can't see why).

I've seen the AMD Opteron 6386 SE and AMD Opteron 4386 in my VPS servers.

OVH UK Support don't work weekends, so you won't get a reply from them until Monday at the earliest.

@OVH I am sitting on my credit card, you only have one pre-sales question to answer to get a new client.

What I am interested is not as much as brand by the model. since that will determine how many cores/per CPU.

What CPU models are used in OVH-Performance -1 Servers?
(or at least how many cores does each cpu have)
