IP Load balancing on HTTPS

Turns out I was just having a dull moment... Of course when you have SSL pass-through loadbalancing the proxy can't add the required headers so you'll never know the originating IP... Oh well.

I think this is an issue with OVHs setup as I can't fix it from my side.

I have a load balancing IP, and using nginx with the "X-Forwarded-For" header I can get the users real IP, EXCEPT when using HTTPS?

I do not have the SSL option on the load balancer, the SSL connection is being passed to the backend correctly, but nginx cannot see the originating IP at all?

I can't seem to find anything related to nginx for this issue, so it must be the way OVH load balances requests?

Thanks!
