Good luck with that, OVH will not replace drives which haven't failed.

Well according to the tests they ask to perform they have failed. Plus I can not mount/access 2nd disk in server and it doesnt appear as right size in rescue web interface?

Yep, OVH repalce only dead HDD's.
I had problem that for few weeks, all whole server was going to read only mode, but they didn't do anything to change hdd's.

Well I did have some odd issues here and there and decided to do rescue test and did find it odd that both drives reported failed at same time.

Either way I would still like fresh drives that have accurate smart logging/tests.

I agree with what's been said above, identical drives with the same power on hours and both have failed at the exact same time? Seems odd.

Is it possible that this is just SMARTCTL misinterpreting the SPIN_RETRY_COUNT value since it doesn't have that particular make of harddrive in the database? All the other parameters look healthy and to have two drives reporting the same problem simultaneously seems a bit odd.

Have you actually had any read/write errors on these drives or performance issues?

I have created a "support" ticket at same time as creating this thread as I want to keep options open and also keep record of how long it takes for me to get any support because lats time it took weeks for any sort of real support (ie actually replace hardware).

Both drives have failed in this server (OVH really needs some quality control)


Both drives on this server have failed and need to be replaced. Last time it took a month, can I please have come consideration and can you please replace these in a reasonable time.
