well, you say so and we don't have any problem with that, but we carry on receiving abuse reports. So, action needs to be taken. You would need to look into it in a more constructive manner, try to understand what we required from you in terms of abuse problems

we do have many customers that run shared hosting business with hundreds of customers and this can happen.

Well then our abuse is first time which is not even an abuse, maybe you can respod to my thread. BTW it is normal to get sometimes any abuse if you have 1k+ customer, the main purpose is to fix it and not to suspend nor shutdown. As someone mentioned here, ovh is not for a real business, its just to play around ( much more for hacking purposes ) what's why we are complaining here due for a real business and not such one.
I think that ovh is gona to be more rude with customers which is using to sell vps, hosting etc instead of with those who don't sell them but using only for his service. What is the point of ovh, to sell their vps's, hosting's etc?

abuse ticket id : 1958722 "hacked virtual machine leaded to being used in spam purposes"
abuse ticket id : 1982152 "hacked virtual machine leaded to being used in steal purposes"
abuse ticket id : 2000808 "hacked virtual machine leaded to being used in steal purposes"
the past hacked virtual machine because of unknown security issue which solved later.
abuse ticket id : 2022494 "this what topic about"
as you see i didn't break copy rights before, and all of them were solved in less than hours.
this is all abuse reports in my account including closed one.

and about the reported website i have just suspended it there were no need to forcing a hardware reboot doing a crazy things like that!

your servers have been attracting much abuse, of different types. When there is one or two cases, our engineers have seen lots of cases and they can be flexible. But it's happening regularly, even if it's different types of abuse, then that will be taken into account.

As someone said, the TOS are only for the OVH customer. You're welcome to resell the service to anyone, but for OVH, you'll be responsible for what's happening with your server, 100%. That means that you need to monitor and keep a close eye , proactively, before a report reaches us. Otherwise, you're reputation for not proactively ensuring the security of the servers will increase.

It's not fine to have regular reports of abuse issues on one server or on one account. That's not what we expect from customers, it's not.

I suggest you to double-check your customers better before getting any business from them, and also make sure that they can keep the security of their servers. Also, if you've got some more hack-prone customers, maybe you don't want to mix them with more reputable customers.

Also, have a easy way for 3rd parties to report abuses directly to you, so they don't reach us.

These are just some of the ideas, but if abuse cases go on, OVH will be forced to shut down your server.

You have at least 5 abuse cases in little over 4 months. Some customers get kicked out after 3 abuse cases, so feel yourself lucky they didn't do that yet.

What you're referring to isn't the responsibility of OVH, the features they provide are complimentary, if you can't install your server using tools available that's your own problem. I'm not 'marketing' for OVH at all, I wouldn't waste my time marketing to someone like you, you sit on this forum, moaning, saying that there are 'cheaper providers' - Tell me, why aren't you using them? FYI you shouldn't actually need support if you know how to manage your service. I've NEVER required support from OVH for a software based issue, because I KNOW and i have a team who do KNOW how to manage and maintain my servers, we've had several software issues, we've never contacted OVH about them, because it's OUR responsibility to resolve them.

If you didn't break the Terms of Service in the first place, you wouldn't have this issue.
Who is the SMARTEST here, yeah Criot , no offense but please stop pretending to be a smart guy here, we all know that there are plenty of problems that we can fix by ourself, and a plenty of problem which we are not able to fix them. As per new hardware maybe ovh enterprise plans use new hardware but sys kimsufi etc they are all old and used hardwares. As per cheapest the OVH only what is cheap are IPs without monthly fees nothing more which their support are really nightmare, if you ask them anything you will get your answer in 5-7 days. You can get with same prices from online.net, datashack.net hetznet, and many more companies which they are cheap too and really great help support, and answer in your questions in same day.
I know you will say "then go with them" we actually are moving our servers so don't need to ask. And another thing is, if you check this forum im sure in all of threads opened here, 95% of threads contain at least one or two posts from you marketing for ovh without any clue which many of peoples here get pissed of from your posts in their threads. May i please ask, are you Octave's gfriend? If yes then i understand your angry about our complains, if no then i think you should send him a private message with this proposal, maybe he will really accept you as his gfriend according to your posts in this forum.
As you can see this forum, there are lots of peoples having troubles with their services and trying to solve them, so please move your smarty nose from here and leave us to fix our problems with ovh.
If you have excellent experience with OVH, just open your thread and tell that you are great and very happy with ovh's services that's all. And leave us to tell our experience.

You just proved my point, the exact same hardware at other providers costs much more. People don't WANT old hardware for the same price as new hardware. Old hardware isn't more reliable, it isn't better either, newer hardware is generally more powerful, and more power efficient. What you've said is completely wrong, because there is barely anywhere that can match what OVH offers at the same price point. Well then, we got an IRC chat advertising complain which have nothing to do with a real abuse first time and we had to suspend all other irc chat servers, even if this was our FIRST abuse.
Forget to mention, now we get a box from sharktech.net which we moved all irc chat servers and never got any problem, not even so called like ovh abuse which we had to suspend our irc services, this mean how unprofessional ovh abuse department are.

i said exactly i received some abuse reports about different situations and all were solved in less than 2 hours and iam not mad that iam receiving abuse reports, iam mad for about how they react about the last abuse report.
there is no way to adequate measures to avoid such infringement such as this.
they are forcing a hardware reboot just to tell me "we will kick your ... next time, we don't give a ... about your data"!!!
about server rebooting are you a system administrator or a database engineer??! sorry but i can't see that! your answer is wrong.
if you are using a write-back cache in some situations so yes a hardware reboot will result into losing data and corrupting exist data.
and also if you have heavy disk operations work load yes a hardware reboot will result into getting bad sectors.

so i were a customer with single hop and hetzner and codero and some i can't remember "currently iam a happy hetzner customer receiving daily abuse reports because of the big number of servers with them and i react with all abuse reports in less than 2 hours i take them seriously" and never got some thing react from data center like ovh did.
ovh doesn't care about customer data, they have a big problem in their abuse department.

Having unlawful content in your server is against the TOS, even if you delete if a minute after the notification. They reserve the rights to suspend your service for having unlawful content.

Also, note that it's different to get one notification from time to time, and getting notifications frecuently. The first can happen to anybody, the seoncd means there's something wrong with you.

In more than 3 years with OVH, I've never got a single notification.

anti hack ticket : 2022494

suddenly without giving an couple of hours or just a seconds to take an action about the abuse, they just forced a hardware reboot "hard not soft" and telling me in the abuse ticket that they rebooted my server and here is the rescue mode details !!!!!!
this abuse type is about copy rights so you don't have the right to force reboot on my server or even block my ip without giving an time to solve it.
in any case if i didn't solve the abuse in the given time they should block reported ip not all ips or even what they did by forcing a haedware reboot.

now i want an compensation because of the down time and corrupting my data!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

abuse ticket id : 1958668 "ddos mitigation has been disabled at their side without a notification so attacks are come through to hit my vpn customers so their monitoring system though that my vpn attacking them and blocked vpn ip so its a false abuse report"
abuse ticket id : 1958722 "hacked virtual machine leaded to being used in spam purposes"
abuse ticket id : 1982152 "hacked virtual machine leaded to being used in steal purposes"
abuse ticket id : 2000808 "hacked virtual machine leaded to being used in steal purposes"
the past hacked virtual machine because of unknown security issue which solved later.
abuse ticket id : 2022494 "this what topic about"
as you see i didn't break copy rights before, and all of them were solved in less than hours.
this is all abuse reports in my account including closed one.

and about the reported website i have just suspended it there were no need to forcing a hardware reboot doing a crazy things like that!
