Thanks Danny, worked it out now, basically no need to worry about adding the IPs to the server - just make sure they are pointing to the server...

Hi

There is an guide for the configuration of an VM IP:

http://help.ovh.co.uk/BridgeClient

In essence the configuration would be:

Server IP: 1.2.3.4

VM IP 5.6.7.8
VM subnet mask: 255.255.255.255
VM MAC: Generated within control panel.
VM gateway: *Server IP but ending with .254*, in this case it will be 1.2.3.254

Has anyone had success in setting up SolusVM and openVZ (using the OVH supplied distro) and using the failover IPs for the VMs? I have the IP pointing to the server and is working fine, but connecting to it via SSH gives me the main server instead of the VM. I have read a few tutorials, all of which tell you different things including adding a virtual MAC and some not too. When I have tried adding the MAC, the IP stops working. Any pointers would be great, thanks.
